In the newest version, when navigating to Options --> View Schedules --> Under Workflows tab, select a workflow, you see all small icons become dark or enabled, except for the Schedule icon, which remains, so as it seems, grayed-out or disabled. This leads the users to wonder why is this icon not enabled and creates a lot of confusion, as seen in the screenshot below:-
Please fix this issue as it took us an hour to troubleshoot as to why this functionality wasn't working!
Alteryx Scheduler may not be installed with the new version yet. Scheduler does require the Admin version of Designer. Please click on the following link for more information: Configure Desktop with Scheduler, and let us know if any further assistance is needed.
Just to clarify this - it seems the confusion is just that the icon is perhaps not scaled correctly and so it can 'appear' disabled relative to the other icons. But it is, in fact, enabled. I'd suggest updating this icon so it's active/inactive status is more clear relative to the other icons in the set.
I was able to reproduce this issue on the 2008.4 release. While it does not affect functionality, the gray color of the Scheduling icon could be confusing. Our QA team is currently reviewing this issue. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.
Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. We updated the icon for scheduling workflows in another area of Designer and it was updated here. Unfortunately in this context, it does indeed look disabled. I apologize for the inconvenience. We plan to update the other icons, so there is greater consistency and new icons won't appear disabled compared to old icons.
