Below is sample data in the form of 3 small tables, along with the desired output I am looking for in my merge. When I do it currently using the join tool I get the output at the bottom, so I'm doing something wrong.
thanks guys. Seems I over-simplified my data, and my problem was elsewhere. I had an extra columns in there which had [in places] different values in each row, with the result that Alteryx treated each row as a unique record and therefore made separate lines, as per my original post. When I removed those columns then I got the desired result. School boy error!!!
