Improvements on Data Cleansing Macro

Hi Alteryx Team,

For my workflow, cleaning data is one of my first steps. I expect that this process in the workflow should complete before procdeeding to the next step. however, it is not. Does anyone know why my earlier steps are not completing prior to the latter steps?

Hi @kw

The way Alteryx processes so fast is because it feeds records through the process once it completes that row. The data being passed through your data cleansing tool has already been cleaned but to speed up processing, Alteryx passes it to the next tool to continue that next process. 

If you dont want this to occur, I would recommend using the block until done tool after your data cleansing tool. This tool will process all your data and hold it until the last record has complete and then pass through the records to the rest of your workflow.
