How to downgrade .yxmd(Workflow), .yxmc(Macro), .yxwz(Analytic app) file types

Hi Users,

Sometimes it happen that when you trying to open

.yxmd(Workflow), .yxmc(Macro), .yxwz(Analytic app) file types you get a below warning.

Which is a version issue.

How to resolve this

I have seen a lot of people facing this issue.

Here is a step by step process to fix that.

Below is the file i am trying to open

Which is a version issue.

Step -1 : find the version of your alteryx 

Go to Help > click on About like below.

Step -2 : open the  .yxmd(Workflow)/ .yxmc(Macro)/ .yxwz(Analytic app) file in text editor

Right click on the file > Open With > Notepad

Step -3 : Change the version

Change the yellow highlighted version to your version like below.

2020.2 to 2020.1

Save and close the file.

Step -4 : Checking the workflow

If you open the workflow now it wont give you any warning or error.

This works on all  yxmd(Workflow), .yxmc(Macro), .yxwz(Analytic app) file types.
