Help to merge multiple columns into one column (after a cross tab)

Hi

I used Cross Tab to move vertical data into horizontal data (one PPC per row) but now I would like to merge the text in the multiple columns into a single new column. Workflow and original data attached.

Thank you!

Ali

Hi @alicooper

Please could you clarify what you mean by one new column? As the data was already in one column.

If you want just one row per PPC with all of the options in one column, you can use the Summarize tool on your raw data to group by PPC then Concat the name field (the option is found within 'String').

Output would be like this:

PPCConcat_Name
AL3NHS Bedfordshire CCG,NHS Herts Valleys CCG

Original data:

PPCName
AL3  NHS Bedfordshire CCG
AL3NHS Herts Valleys CCG

Perfect, thank you.

I then also did a Text to Column after so I now have a PPC column, a concatenated column, and then the individual CCG names in seperate columns.

PPCConcat_NameConcat_Name1Concat_Name2
AL3NHS Bedfordshire CCG,NHS Herts Valleys CCGNHS Bedfordshire CCGNHS Herts Valleys CCG

Thanks

Ali
