Google Analytics Tool - Mismatch Between GA Environment and Input Data

Hello,

I'm looking to use the Google Analytics tool to input data from our GA environment, based on certain metrics and dimensions. However, I’m seeing some discrepancies between our GA environment and the Alteryx input; for example, the session count within a specified date range (specific week) in GA is 34,028, but the Alteryx tool is pulling a total of 207,045 (for both New and Returning Visitors). Interestingly, the users total in Alteryx is showing a total of 34,068, which is very close to the session count in GA above. Meanwhile, the users total in GA is showing 23,957, which is far fewer.

Does anyone know why it appears that the session count in GA might be equivalent to the users metric from the Alteryx GA tool, and that the actual session count in the Alteryx GA tool is so much higher (6x) than the session count in GA? Could this possibly be due to bots that are being filtered out by GA, but are being counted by the Alteryx tool? If so, is there a way to filter out bots in the Alteryx GA tool?

Any insights or guidance is appreciated, thank you so much!
