Formula Contain

Dear All, I am using formula tool to identify certain KEY WORDS using "containS" function. I have come across a problem where  in some instances due to similarity of key words my categorization is incorrect.

Example:

If contains ([field name],'XYZ1) then Cat 1 elseif contains([field name].XYZ12) then Cat 2.

Alteryx is only picking data XYZ1 and all results for XYZ12 are clubbed with XYZ1. I can rearrange the order of my code but i was hoping if we had a better solution.

Regards,

Rahul Jain

As you suggested, rearrange the order of the formula might be good here.

Also we can try with Find and replace if you have more criterias.
However, the question remains, XYZ123 should be Cat1 or Cat2?2A.PNG2B.PNG

Thank you, Actually it is a long list of CODES in an open text field which means input could be anything like "ABSBSINIVNINFIWENF XYZ1". So each code is unique, XYZ1 is different from XYZ2 and similarly XYZ123 is different to both the other codes.
