Find and Replace Tool - Order Matter?

Meteoroid

Hello!

I have created a workflow that utilises the Find and Replace tool.  I am using this to look at a string, and classify a dimension based on what I see there.  However, I am finding that there are instances where the tool isn't matching the string as well as I would like. Does the order of which the variables are listed in the excel look-up table?

I've included an exaxmple of what my data set looks like, and how I would be using it.  As of right, I am matching to any part of the string and is case insenstive.

Example:

Look-Up Table

Look-Up VariableClassification
_highheels_High Heels - no other information
_balletflats_nudeBallet Flats - Nude
_highheels_blue_High Heels - Blue

Examples:

String to ClassifyResponse wanted
shoes_highheels_blue_westlondon_sw11_online_facebook_aenawt31_size7High Heels - Blue
shoes_highheels__eastlondon_____size10High Heels - no other information
shoes_highheels_yellow_eastlondon__online_compage__size11High Heels - no other information

Thanks!

Hi @lamprechtN I mocked up a workflow using a regex tool to parse out your required data not the most elegant solution but produces the output you describe. Let me know what you think?

Just to clarify, does your current process work with the example you provided? It does work for me with the below config
