Filtering countries from databases (World Bank or UN) according to the Tableau countries?

Hi!

Not sure if this has been solved before, I have 2 lists: database from the World Bank and the list of countries available in Tableau. The database on the World Bank also includes "regions" based on geography or income levels, etc. that I want to filter out according to what is in Tableau.

Both files are pretty big (especially Tableau that seems to have the name of the country in every language), is there a way to match these 2 files and leave out the countries that don't exist in Tableau?

Thanks!

There's a little preparation that's necessary on the World Bank input, but after that a Join tool will knock this out. There are a few inconsistencies in names between the two files ("Cote d'Ivoire" vs "Ivory Coast"), so some manual corrections will be necessary.

The example attached should get you started.

Thank you!
