File Browse Tool in PDF Input Tool

Hi All,

I have a workflow with PDF Input.

I've set the path and filename as static. This is working.

I want to insert File Browse Tool so the user can select a file.

When I inserted the File Browse Tool and run as analytic.

How can I remove the static path in PDF Input Tool?

Because there is already a path in File Browse Tool.

Thanks!

You should check the Action tool setting.

Do you set that "Select an action type" is "Update Value" and selefct "File - value" ?

Or there is other ways.

If you have any other information, I will advice to you more accurate.

(e.g. uploading your workflow)

Hey @RichardAlt the PDF input tool is a macro I made a while back. To use it in the way you want to in its current form will be a little tricky. Luckily there's an easy option 🙂

I've attached the actual batch macro that powers the pdf input tool to this comment, so you can use that in your app. Simply attach your file browse to a text input tool leading into it like this (for ease of use, call the column in the text input FullPath):

Hope that helps,

Ollie

If you wanted to get the macro yourself, just do this:

Open the macro (by right clicking it and then 'Open Macro')

You can see how the macro works:

Open the nested macro and then saveas this in a new location
