Debating whether or not to upgrade to the latest version of Alteryx Designer?
Is there any way to extract data from different fields from an csv file and present it into the same field (a new field)? In the example are the "numbers of gears" in different fields (field c, e and h). I want all the number of gears to be presented in field I, what I want, is to combine 3 fields into 1.
If you want to concatenate fields, you can just use Formula Tool and do this:
[FieldC] + [FieldE] + [FieldH]
I wasn't clear in my question, i do not want to concat them.I want the values from c1, c2, c3, e4, e5, e6, h7, h8 and h9 be parsed into i1, i2, i3, i4, i5, i6, i7, i8 and i9
I have done an new example here both in excel and a picture, I'm not sure if I have asked in the right way.
Here's what you're looking for
The formula is
if ! isnull([Column 2]) then
elseif ! isnull([Column 3]) then
elseif ! isnull([Column 4]) then
