Excel column Date format

Asteroid
Hi All,

I am using one execl file and performing Find replace operation.

But, sometimes this excel file also has Date columns, in that case Alteryx by default converting them to (YYYY-MM-DD) Format.

Here, Date columns will not be there always, so I can't use DATE tool here to convert it to my required format (MM-DD-YYYY).

So, please let me know. If any ways are there to stop this Alteryx default feature of converting all Date columns to (YYYY-MM-DD) Format.

OR,

By using Alteryx - Can we check in an excel, particular column exist or not by it's NAME ?

Please let me know the possible solutions ASAP .

Hello @MahanteshS - The easy and quick solution for that would be - to convert the date column to V_WString before you add find replace tool. This way it will not be changing the format.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Yug
