Error message on a macro prevents me from opening it

I created a macro a few months ago, and this morning I went to run it and got the following error:

Unexpected end of file while parsing Name has occurred. Line 4268, position 24.

The macro is really big and I really don't want to recreate it.  As it is right now, I'm not able to open it and check what has gone wrong.

Does anyone have a similar experience and know how to fix it?  or have any suggestions?

Thanks

Kirstin

All,

I found out that the file was corrupted while saving (I tried to do something at home, and the very slow VPN kept disconnecting).  I went in and opened a working and the non-working macro in wordpad so I could see the XML and saw that the non-working one was missing a lot of tags at the end.

I then found this post here explaning how to bring back the .bak file.
