Error in EncryptPassword error when connecting to Azure SQL DB

Getting this error when connecting to an Azure SQL DB.

After connecting to the server, the Choose table or specify query window comes up and the tables and columns are visible to be selected.  After hitting OK, the above error appears. 

The SQL db is just a dev DB that I provisioned and not a production DB.

I have tested this DB and have connected via SSMS and Excel from the current computer I am using.

Hi, 

This error will occur when you have FIPS enabled on the machine where Designer/Server is installed. This is not supported. You can disable as follows, but you will likely need a security exemption from your IT Security team in order to do this.
