Editing A Column Header

5 - Atom

I have two files I am trying to join and both files have the field name "Rank", however, the meanings are different; one is an actor's ranking and the other is a producer's ranking.  These should not be joined into one column but should remain two columns.   How do I edit the column names to "Actor's Rank" and "Producer's Rank"?  Is there a manual tool to do this?

Thank you in advance for your help.

@Smckenna why do you want to rename the column names if you want to join.

You can join the two files with same column name.

Check the attached Screenshot if you want to edit the ranks. Join tool has embedded select which can be used to rename the columns

Hi @Smckenna,

These fields can be renamed directly in the Join tool in the "Rename" column in the configuration pane.  The Join tool does not merge fields.  If you are using a Union tool, which will put common named fields into a single field, a Select Tool after each input and before the Union tool is commonly used to rename fields.
