Dynamic file output location showing up as corrupted when running workflow

I have 2 output tools where a single excel file will be created with 2 different worksheets (Summary & Audit).

I used Parallel Block Until Done to ensure 'Summary' worksheet will be created first and then the 'Audit'

worksheet.

When I run the workflow, the Summary file is created successfully but the Audit output is causing an error, as the file name is being corrupted somehow, as seen below in the Results pane.

I am not sure why in the Audit output, the file location is being corrupted, as it looks ok within the workflow.

The output tool seems to be configured correctly. What am I doing wrong?

Hi @Jes

Does your filed specify a sheetname?

@HomesickSurfer

Yes, sheet name is specified. Forgot to add this in.

The formula output is getting corrupted when the workflow is run & Alteryx is trying to create an output:

Hi @Jes

I think your sheetname needs to be proceeded by a double pipe.  Eg. ||

Also, the 'ZAS' file is a generate Excel file when attemting to write to a file that is open to another user or process.

Check your output directory - you will notice it is there.

Close the file, ensure nobody is using it.

If still an issue, your (parallel) block until done is malfunctioning.

@HomesickSurfer

I've tried || & ||| but still the same issue.

Even moved my 'Parallel Block Until Done' to earlier in the workflow so that I know for sure that the output file is not being used when the Audit sheet is being written in..

Hi @Jes

May i see your configuration of he output tool?  Are you selecting 'preserve formatting' and without specifying a range?

Hi @Jes

Your first image shows a render tool.  Does this tool output to the same file as the two output tools?  If so, you should use a BUD to isolate it as well.
