Hi, I have specified a range for a table where the columns keep on changing everyday basis dates and we use "Summarize" tool, however we always have to select the columns in configuration window:
Requirement - In case more dates are added to the table the "Summarize" tool should auto detect the dates and configure it basis on the range given in the Input tool.
I would transpose the data, summarize, then cross-tab back out to your columns. This keeps it dynamic in case the dates in the columns change or new columns are added.
The solution provided worked, however now the case has taken a new turn, since the tool has started selecting the dates dynamically, but when ever a new date is added the new column gets generated at the very end after the "Grand Total" column
Is there any way we can sort and arrange the columns correctly?
The table should be arranged as below:
Where is the grand total getting created in your workflow? If you make it get created by the cross-tab after the summary it should be placed at the end by default.
Otherwise, the answer probably lies in one of the earlier tools. Typically the issue may lie in a select tool where the 'dynamic or unknown fields' option (usually last) is after the 'Grand Total' column. Moving the dynamic fields before it will result in any new date columns getting placed in front of the last column.
