Debating whether or not to upgrade to the latest version of Alteryx Designer?
I am trying to download an image from an API where every time I need to pass a parameter of Emp id. API looks like below
I tried to use a download tool where I embed user name and password in the connection tab.
I am getting an error in Blob output tool "The System cannot find the path specified"
Appreciate any inputs ??
I noticed that there's a whitespace here, between the slash and the "w".
Try to remove that.
I am sorry .. I just gave that as an example Here is how the actual URL looks like
How's the configuration of your Blob Output tool? Could you show it to us?
It seems you're not properly modifying the file path/file name of the Blob output to generate this error.
is there anything else that I am missing ??
Finally, I can download the image but I am getting the following message when I click on the image.
"Windows photo viewer cannot open this picture because the file appears to be damaged, corrupted or is too large"
Could you give us an example of this field "Path"?
If this Field contains the whole Path, you should use this option:
I guess you need to check the extension of this BLOB Output.
I mean, if you're changing file name or whole path, it should contain the right extension for it, let's say .jpeg,, .jpg,, .png.
path in input tool :-C:\Users\12345\AppData\Local\TempT1.jpg
Ok, how's your "Path" field that is selected in the "Using This Field" option?
With this option selected, "Temp1" is going to be replaced by your Path field.
Other thing to consider is if your download data is not coming corrupted.
What you could do is change the Download Tool configuration to bring a File, and check if this File opens.
