Hello.
When designing a workflow, I will often cache my inputs or my Union tools once I'm satisfied with the results so that speed is improved as I'm testing.
I've found that if I use the AMP engine, the inputs are still run even though I've selected Cache and Run Workflow.
Is this normal behavior or a quirk of the AMP engine? Do I need to cache before I turn on AMP, turn AMP off if I want to cache again, then turn AMP back on?
Solved! Go to Solution.
I dont cache and run is affected by AMP engine. But lets see what others have to say.
I was able to cache and run with AMP engine turned on.
Also might mention that I have Disable Tools that Write Output turned on since I am testing as I go.
You can provide a snapshot of your workflow and where you trying to cache. I can take a look into it and help you out.
Not for me. Above was taken after I right clicked the input and clicked Cache.
Hmm strange. If you had got the option it should have happened.
Hello all, and thanks to everyone who is enabling AMP Engine for their workflows.
We appreciate hearing from you and getting additional feedback that will help us to continue to make improvements to AMP Engine.
I notice that @spencermckeehan seems to be on version 2020.4 and I know that we have addressed this issue in the 2021.1 Release version. That could explain why @atcodedog05 is not able to reproduce the issue.
