Data pulled in via Connect In-DB appearing scrambled.

I'm having the strangest issue in that when I use a "Connect In-DB" tool to pull in data the values are showing up scrambled/gibberish. I have verified that the data in the actual database is intact via another querying tool so something seems to be happening with my connection from Atleryx. Has anyone experienced something similar/know what could be wrong?  Example attached. 

*I think the attached image may not be working correctly so here a is a copy/paste. There are two different columns here (legalname & add_mailingaddressline1) that are not parsed out, but you get the idea.
