SOLVED

Creating two columns that use eachother

Hi All. Hoping someone can help me here. I used the summary tool to create the total incoming and total closed columns. The total leftover column is calculated as [row-1:Total Accumulation] - [Total Close] ex. for month 3 total leftover = 44-20 = 24.

The problem I am having is that Total Accumulation = [Total Leftover] + [row+1:Total Incoming] ex. for month 3 Total Accumulation = 24+18 = 42

Excel is great at auto updating columns so that I can calculate these two columns simultaneously, but I am having a hard time figuring it out in Alteryx. Any help appreciated.

Hi @HunterH ,

Find my approach attached.

I used a mix of formula and multi-row formulas.

Hope this helps If does, can I ask you to mark it as a solution? this will help other users to find it and will allow us to close the thread. Many thanks!

Best,
Diego

This worked well, thank you. I didnt realize that when using the multi row formula tool, you could reference the new column you are creating in the expression section.
