Hello Community! I’m trying to use the email component on a workflow, but my company doesn’t allow me to use SMTP due to security reasons.
I have been surfing the forums and I understand that the SMTP is not mandatory, and I should be able to send mails without it with the newer version.
But I can’t figure out how to configure the component, what fields should be completed?

The SMTP server is what actually sends the email so it will definitely be needed. Historically Alteryx had "autodetect SMTP" as an option but it has since been removed to improve security. Therefore you will need to enter the SMTP server information to use the email functionality.
I was having this same issue. I never had to enter my username and password in events-send email tool. After reading this, I tried it and it worked.
