Changing Date Formula Without Parse Tool

Hi there,

I have this formula and it outputs the correct date, but I want it in a different format. Is there a way to change the formula or do I have to use the DateTime tool?

DateTimeFormat(DateTimeParse([DISTRO_CREATE_DATE],"%Y/%m/%d"),"%m/%d/%Y")

Output = 11/19/2019

Desired output = 11-19-2019

Thank you for your time,

Natalia

Hi @nwatzlaf ,

You were almost right! 🙂

DateTimeFormat(DateTimeParse([DISTRO_CREATE_DATE],"%Y/%m/%d"),"%m-%d-%Y")

The only thing missing was the dashes in your output format.

Best,

Fernando V.
