Changing Data in a Single Cell

Asteroid

Hi!

I am simply trying to change only the data in one single cell.

For example, if the workflow data looks like the below, I only want to enter text in the NULL cell in the ACCT column. Is there any way to do this?

Hi @grsomer,

You could do a Formula with a conditional, setting the value of [ACCT] to...

IIF(IsNull([ACCT])) THEN
   ...whatever you want...
ELSE
   [ACCT]
ENDIF

... so basically, if it's not null, it just keeps the existing value; if it is null, put in your replacement value there.

Hope that helps!

Hi @JohnJPS

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately I am unable to use this formula as there are other cells in the column ACCT that are null and I do not want to have filled. I simply want to insert text into a single cell.

I see.... could be tricky depending on what we can assume.  If you know which row it is, you could apply a RecordID, then reference the correct row by record ID... (then deselect RecordID before writing the output.)

Hi  @grsomer

What criteria do you use to determine which cells get a null value?  Is it...

1. The Quantities are all zero?

2. Row 1 Column 2?

3. Some other criteria that isn't obvious from your data?

Hi @danilang

Row 1 Column 2 is my criteria.
