Capture delimiter type

We receive data files from vendors who sometimes switch field delimiters from one file submission to the next.

Is there any way to capture the delimiter type from the input tool so that it can stored in a log file?

How about making the workflow read in its own XML and then parse out the delimiter?

This works great in your example but I cannot figure out how to incorporate into my workflow so that it captures the delimiter of the file currently being input.

So

• Copy the bottom set of tools from my workflow into your workflow.
• Change that input to read in the name of your workflow.
• Change the filter to the id of the input tool in your workflow you are interested in.
