I am trying to insert output to a SQL Server database table and running into a problem. Alteryx is attempting to insert [NULL] into my table's auto-incrementing identity column. I then receive the SQL error:
Cannot insert the value NULL into column ...
How do I stop Alteryx from trying to insert null into columns that aren't a part of my workflow's dataset?
Considering the column is auto-incrementing, the best way is to de-select the column using 'Select' tool before the Data is getting pushed to the SQL server. This way no value will be forced to your auto-incrementing column and the rest of the data load will not be impacted too!
