Hi All,

I need some help with making certain parts of my data blank.

I have the following dummy data:

ID1ID2DateType1Type2NameAmountCode
123455432101/01/2021

Y

ZA1001
123455432101/01/2021YZB1002
123455432101/01/2021YZC1003
123455432101/01/2021YZD1004
123455432101/01/2021YZE1005
123455432101/01/2021YZF1006
123455432101/01/2021YZG1007

234566543201/01/2021YZD1004
234566543201/01/2021YZE1005
234566543201/01/2021YZF1006
234566543201/01/2021YZG1007
234566543202/01/2021YZA1001
234566543202/01/2021YZB1002
234566543202/01/2021YZC1003
234566543202/01/2021YZD1004
234566543202/01/2021YZE1005
234566543202/01/2021YZF1006
234566543202/01/2021YZG1007

I would like to make this into the following output:

ID1ID2DateType1Type2NameAmountCode

Y

ZA1001

     F1006
     G1007

     B1002
     C1003
     D1004
     E1005
     F1006
     G1007
234566543202/01/2021YZA1001
     B1002
     C1003
     D1004
     E1005
     F1006
     G1007

Please let me know how I can solve this!

Hi @Yeonsujen,

Assuming that ID1, ID2, and Date can be used for a unique grouping identifier, here is how you can do it.

I'm using a tile tool to group your records and create a record id by each group. Then a multi-formula tool to null out anything in the desired fields that doesn't start the group.

Let me know if this works for you.

Cheers!

Phil

@Maskell_Rascal Thank you so much for your solution, it worked perfectly! I have never used the tile tool before but great to know it can help with this kind of thing. Appreciate your help 🙂
