Hello,
I'm wondering if anyone has successfully connected Alteryx to Oracle 19c https://www.oracle.com/database/technologies/oracle19c-windows-downloads.html
I have successfully connected to Oracle 9 and 12 but never tried 19c.
Thanks,
Mauricio
@mestevez It should work the same as the previous versions. I'm sure there isn't much change to the odbc/oci/oledb connectivity with 19c as it is standardized by now. Have you tried it? Did it work?
I still don't have access to an Oracle 19c database to test it. I wonder if someone else went throught this.
According to the Oracle blog at https://blogs.oracle.com/exadata/exadatadb19, Oracle 19c is just a new naming for the most current release of Oracle 12c. Apparently, Oracle changed their version naming scheme to correspond to Alteryx's <grin> by using the year of release for the version number.
From the blog posting:
Database 19c is the final release of the Oracle Database 12c family of products and has been nominated as the extended support release (in the old version name scheme, 19c is equivalent to 12.2.0.3).
Also, from Dom Gile's blog at https://blogs.oracle.com/database/oracle-database-19c-now-available-on-oracle-exadata-v3:
Oracle has made stability the core aim of this release. In Oracle Database 19c, developers have focused on fixing known issues, rather than adding new functionality.
So, although Alteryx has not specifically tested Oracle 19c, it should work just fine since it is merely a new name for Oracle 12c v12.2.0.3.
