Alteryx Designer install on RDP or AWS Workspace

Hello,

I am new to Alteryx, and my organization has purchased 10 Alteryx Designer licenses. We need to utilize 7 of these designer licenses for our offshore team for 3 months. We do not want the offshore team (contractors) to install and utilize licenses on their desktop rather we would have them use some kind of remote login.

Trying to figure out what will be the best way to do the above. Couple of options that we are thinking of -

- EC2 based RDP instances and Alteryx Designer on each instance

- AWS Workspace instance and Alteryx Designer on each instance

Any perspective, experience, or suggestions will be extremely helpful.

Thank you,

Milind

I've only used EC2, but this is interesting reading: https://stackshare.io/stackups/amazon-ec2-vs-amazon-workspaces

You MIGHT need a license key from Alteryx for the cloud install (I can't remember if that's from Designer or Server)

Oh, and install Windows .... NOT Windows Server as the operating system
