AMP Engine - Publish to Tableau Server

First off, congrats to everyone at alteryx for the AMP engine. In my (limited) testing, the performance has been great. Some workflows are now running in a third of the original time.

Looking forward to where it goes from here.

That said, I've run into issues when attempting to publish a dataset using the Publish To Tableau Server tool. I have run the same file on the original engine and do not encounter the error.

Has anyone else encountered this error?

@neilgallen  Thank you for the early feedback on the new AMP Engine.

I encourage you to continue to report any use case issues that you find with running workflows with AMP Engine enabled. We worked hard to identify differences from the original Engine as well as provide guidance on how to better optimize workflows to run with AMP.

If you haven't already, please review our articles related to using the new AMP Engine:

We have started looking at this to see how we can help.

If you could provide a sub-set of the workflow that demonstrates the issue that would be helpful.

Would you be able to supply a sub-set of your workflow as a yxzp so that we can try to reproduce the behavior that you're seeing?

I wanted to follow up to see if you would be able to supply us with any more information.

Apologies as I didn't see this message.

attached is a sample where I'm seeing the error. Seems to only happen on larger datasets. I've attempted to upload this same data from a yxdb with no modification and get the same error.

Seems to occur when the dataset gets larger than approximately 800,000 records. Anything smaller than that seems to run fine, while larger always will give an error. No error when running on E1.

I wanted to provide an update on this. We created an internal defect and the fix for this will be include in the 2020.4 Release.

@TonyaSThat's great news! Looking forward to the release. Will be a game changer for a few workflows on my end.
