GCSE-624: Unable to open the Designer once DCM is enabled

Issue

 

Once DCM is enabled when you launch Designer it immediately crashes.
The issue occurs (1) when you enable DCM for the first time or (2) when you first start Designer after upgrade and you already had DCM enabled.

The error log shows:

    • Versions 2021.4, 2022.1.


Cause

 

Defect: GCSE-624.
Status: Open.



 

 

Resolution


Defect GCSE-624 is target for resolution in future release. 
 

Workaround


1. Find the DCM files located in C:\Users\<YourUser>\AppData\Local\Alteryx

2. Copy them out of that folder. 
3. Open Designer. After opening successfully then replacing the files.
