Joins on Inequalities

I would like to be able to use the join tool to join on inequalities.  We could join two tables, A and B on A.value is >= B.value1 AND A.value <= B.value2.  This would replicate the "between" function in SQL.  The equvalent feature in Tableau is pictured below.

Currently the only easy way to do this is in native SQL code or using the advanced Join macro here

It would be great to have this functionality within the in-database (for Redshift) as it is quite common to join between 2 particular dates to get maximum benefit

This would be nice. In Qlik this functionality is called "Range matching", and is standard functionality. It seems like a relatively common and straightforward function.

This feature is a must for any professional or even semi-professional database management or data analytics application.
