Autocompletion and Syntax Highlighting in ALL Tools with Expression Editor

The Formula Tool does a good job of autocompleting expressions (for example an open square bracket will show you variables in your dataset), as well as syntax highlighting (coloring variables, keywords, strings, etc).

I propose having this feature available in all tools that use the expression editor, particularly common ones such as the Multi-Row Formula Tool and the Multi-Field Formula Tool.

This parity across tools would provide a more consistent experience for the user and increase one's productivity using these tools. It's incredibly helpful for beginners and seasoned Alteryx users alike and should be available wherever possible.

Please re-introduce the use of the tab key for indentation instead of leaving the edit box!

Check out the new Expression Editor in Multi-Row and Multi-Field Formula tools as of the 24.2 release - we love this new look, and hope you do too! PS. Keeping this one open as "Ongoing" for now since we have plans to add to a few more tools that use expression editors in future releases too 😉

Boggles the mind how sometimes Designer's interface can be so inconsistent with some tools having a certain style and properties and in others tools where those same features would be applicable, they are missing.  Sometimes exactly because of this, something that would be achievable with a single tool, you have to use 3 or 4 instead.  I'm sure the devs to do list is huge and perhaps prioritize bug fixes and bigger shinny things, but having the same features available in all tools in which they're applicable would definitely be a great leap forward.
