vertical merge contents to line up table columns configuration

Hi, does anyone face any issue with the layout tool whereby i configured the layout mode to be "each groups of record" (group by page) and orientation "vertical merge contents to line up table columns". with all the configuration in place, the information is merged perfectly. however, noticed recently with the update of Microsoft, the output go hire wire. Anyone has any idea how to resolve this?
