2.22 i need the output 2 in column A and 22 in column B..

 

I am using the formula..

Left([String],FindString([String],"." ))

 

Please help

Hi,

 

Just use text to columns with "." as a delimeter.

Hi @ShreyaSharma ,

 

Your formula is correct. You just need to change the data type of [String]. It is currently numeric (going by your example) and function FindString cannot be applied on numeric data type.

 

Alternatively, as @Emil_Kos suggested, you can use the Text to Columns tool. Hope this helps.
