Hi!

I have an tabel,or csv file an I want pivot a defined set of columns.

My Example:

testdata.JPG

And I want as result:

testdata_afterpivot.JPG

Is that possible with the Cross tab tool or the Transpose tool in Alteryx? But how?

Best regards

Mathias

How about:

  1. take input into a join (left)
  2. take input into a formula
  3. Description:  description - 1
  4. take formula into join (right)
  5. join: sequence_id & description
  6. take join (j) to union
  7. take join (l) to union

that should work

cheers,

I think that a pair of Multi-Row Formula tools would work for this circumstance.

Yes.  Both solutions would work.  You could use a single multi-row formula to capture both X2 and Y2, then use a formula or a parse fields to finish the job.  lots of ways to skin @mathias_schnoor's cat.
