How about trying out the Alteryx Weekly Challenges? Otherwise Designer also has a bunch of sample data by going to Help > Sample Datasets

Hello, 
I strongly recommend working with data from a source like FRED for analytics since it will give you a true real-world application using frequently referenced data.

I recommend picking a question that interests you and then using this data to answer that question and then write a report for your findings. 

For example, you could ask something like, "How do interest rates affect real GDP? What is the lag between events?"
