hi,
just wonder if there is a way to only select group-by columns without using transpose and crosstab.
Note: the numeric fields are all set and static regardless of group-by field.

No, definitely not easy. In fact, doing it this way might be described as hacking your way to it since it's not capable of being done through the normal drag/drop/configure functionality.
