Hi,

I have a requirement to read a file (excel) from sharepoint and copy it to local folder. Same file will be used in input tool.

currently I am running the workflow from my PC but eventually it will be pushed to Alteryx server.

is there a way to do it  ?

thanks in advance

AK

Hey @Alteryx_user_aK,

There is a SharePoint Input (and Output) Tool: https://help.alteryx.com/20221/designer/sharepoint-input-tool

This will allow you to access SharePoint Sites via Gallery.

But your Gallery will need some configurations to be done to access the Microsoft API (https://help.alteryx.com/20221/designer/microsoft-sharepoint#SharePointCustomApp

When run on Desktop you can ofc. just write this file locally. On Gallery I am not sure what your goal is, you may output it to an other SharePoint location, but ofc. no local folder on your PC.

Thanks FrederikE for your reply. I tried the SharePoint tool and "sign in via internet browser" option to connect, but nothing happens. when I run the WF, I get Missing Incoming Connection error. Since this option did not work, I thought I can make a local copy before I execute the WF hence posted my question.

Appreciated your feedback.

AK.
