Year - Month (Abbreviated) V_String to Date. DateTimeParse

Hi there,

I'm trying to parse a DateTime from the column [Time Period] which is currently a V_String. The column contents are as follows: 2020 Jan. All months have have been abbreviated in the column [Time Period].

I am however getting a Parse error as a number is expected for the month. My current formula is seen below:

DateTimeParse([Time Period],'%Y %m').

Any assistance that anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Moe_L_00,

You'd need to use:

DateTimeParse([Time Period],'%Y %b')

The %Y being a four digit year and %b being the month abbreviation (Jan, Feb etc)

If this solves your issue please mark the answer as correct, if not let me know!

Regards,

Jonathan
