XLSX data input shows field headings but Select is empty?

I have a simple xlsx data input tool with field headings clearly show in the preview:

Yet when I link a select tool I get this:

Any ideas why the fields aren't showing up in select?  The input is an output from another workflow run previously but I don't see why that would be an issue.

Sometimes the universe does not work as it should. Have you tried the very obvious:

1. Run the Workflow
2. Delete the Select and add it back in
3. Refresh the input connection
4. Close Alteryx and re-open

If so, and nothing has worked, a screenshot of your workflow or sample of the workflow may help too.
