.XLS files in input

Hi everyone, hoping to find a solution to the .xls input file problem. I'm running 64bit version of Microsoft products on my company pc (required) and have downloaded the 64bit access database engine but still cannot use .xls files as an input option. I've tried using the legacy file type option and that does not work either. When trying the 32bit access database engine, I'm prompted to install 32bit version of microsoft products which just isn't an option. Is there any fix for this? Opening and resaving .xls files is getting pretty old considering most of my files come from SAP and are exported as .xls. Thanks for any help

looks like there may be an .xlsx output. i'll have to test this out.

We might be able to solve this if there are any other output formats other than just xls and txt. Can you check what the other options are?

I think (I may be wrong) that SAP will only export spreadsheet as text in either .txt or .xls formats
