XIRR - Internal Rate of Return Calculations

Has anyone been able to get the XIRR function to work properly? I have a transaction listing including an ending balance which been flipped to negative (as it is considered an outflow at the end of the period). Alteryx is coming up with a converge error where there is no solution. I don't think that can be the case, as I know there is a possible answer for the IRR on this dataset.

Is it possible that Alteryx is limiting the number of decimals and therefore, there is no convergence past a certain number?

Not sure if I'm using the function correctly as there is very limited documentation surrounding the IRR/XIRR formulas available.

Thanks,

Jonathan

Hi @jjto,

I calculated your data in excel and received a return of around 8%. Is this your expected results? When I did this in alteryx I received the same warning message you have but after inversing each of the values I was able to return the same 8% value. This may be the route to go when using this function within Alteryx. Let me know if that helps. I've attached my workflow.
