Workflow String Fields

I've changed the field type in both the BU and Mill number field and I am still receiving this error message.

Please let me know

Change BU to int or double.

or add select tool before join like below and change Mill datatype to V_string.

It worked perfectly. Did not realize I needed to place a filter tool to help with this error.
