Work around for accessing SAS files on a UNIX server?

My co-worker creates SAS datasets on a UNIX server, which I then run SAS code against. I'm trying to duplicate my process using Alteryx, however can't connect to a UNIX server with it. The SAS datasets are huge, so they would be difficult to move. Does any one have any ideas for a work-around?

Samba is probably of the the oldest and most reliable ways to provide a mount point from Unix to Windows so modern tools like Alteryx and Tableau can ingest those old SAS files.

Ideally I would see what databases you're co-worker is connecting to in SAS to create those datasets, then bring that part into Alteryx. Since Alteryx can connect directly to databases, there's little reason to use SAS for anything.

Thank you! Unfortunately, Samba isn't installed on the UNIX server so the next step will be to see if we can get access to the Teradata database where the data comes from (like you suggested). Thanks again!
