Windows users: What laptop brand/spec would you recommend?

Hello,

I have found the systems requirements:

However, minimum requirements and the ideal spec are two different things. 

 

Can anyone offer advice on what laptop brand/spec they would choose? 

 

We don't have a brand preference. We are not working with big data.

  • a solid state hard drive.   In a side-by-side comparison years back, a SSD reduced the runtime for one of my workflows from 4 hours to 45 minutes.
  • as much RAM as you can afford
  • I've been using an HP with the specs below for 9 years, with no problems.  It's very heavy with a large screen, not really made for frequent travel.
