What has happened to the speed of reading in data via the "Input Data" tool?

Hi,

I have just updated to the latest version - Version: 2022.1.1.30961 - and am shocked by how slowly data is read into the system now using the same Data Input tool.  I think that there is something conceptually new about it as it now says "AMP Engine; running 8 worker threads" which it didn't before but if you have 10 connections literally nothing happens....

12 little files and we are now on a combined 5% after 10 minutes.  It used to be better in the previous version.

Am I now doing something wrong?

Kind regards,

Katy

Hi @Katy_Holder-Vale

To pin point the main reason for the slow processing of data  you could be to activate performance profiling. This will help to narrow down the main cause for the slow data processing.

On Alteryx Designer click on the canvas choose the Runtime tab and towards the bottom you will see a chack box for performance profiling.

To cancel the selection of AMP engine for all new workflows:

Go to Options > User Settings > Edit User Settings.
On the Defaults tab, clear the selection from the Use AMP Engine for all new workflows check box.
Select Save.
