What are you doing now that Alteryx Scheduler (Desktop Automation) is discontinued?

Good morning!

We've had the pleasure of using Alteryx in our company for the last five years. After the first year, we recognized a need to have our workflows automated, therefore purchasing Alteryx Scheduler. Designer, along with Scheduler, has met our needs and continues to be a great solution for what we do; however, now that Scheduler has been discontinued and will be EOL'd at the end of our current contract, I'm not quite sure what to do upon renewal. We love Alteryx and the current solution we have in place.

An obvious option is to move to Server, but it is cost-prohibitive and not even a consideration at this point. The cost of Designer and Scheduler together was at the upper limit of our budget, but the cost of Server is significantly more and we don't have the complex need for Server other than being able to have real-time or scheduled runs.

I've also read where (and previously done it myself) people have used the RUN command, along with Windows Task Scheduler, to achieve the same thing, but it was my understanding that a lcense (Scheduler) would be required to open up the option. I know that this option was clunky at best when having utilized it before, and in some cases didn;t work properly.

I'm curious if anyone has vetted or implemented a replacement solution? We don't want there to be a gap in our processes, so were taking a proactive apporach to find a suitable replacement - hopefully. (Sorry to have to ask this in the ALTERYX community)
