Visual layout not supporting scandinavian characters anymore

Question

I noticed that the possibility to use åöä in the visual layout tool doesn't work well in the latest 2018.2 release. I've tried changing them to HTML entity like ä but that didn't work and since the are inserted in the table or text tool I can't really dictate the encoding of the text. Anyone that has a workaround for me?

Did a formula on Layout like: Replace([Layout], 'Ã¤', 'ä')

It's not very pretty but I had to get the mail out. Hopefully this thread will help someone else with a funky character ;-)
