Update part of the URL in a RaaS with Today's Date

Question

I have a RaaS that has an Effective date... i want to update this effective date to "Todays Date each time its run...

I have the control parameter, with the Action tool...

I have selected the "URL" and noted the "Replace Specific String" as the date to be updated...  what am i missing?

set up the download tool to take URL from a field. have the URL in a field. Change the field.
